Teddy turns 2

Words cannot express how much we love this little boy. 

Every day I think, "I wish you would just stay this age forever," but every day you grow and change and delight us in new ways and make us love you even more. Today you are 2 years old and I wouldn't go backwards a single day because today you are my favorite version of yourself and I know tomorrow's Teddy will only be better than today's.

Josie's first laugh!

I had Jo sitting on my lap while I wrote the last post and I looked down to see her grinning at me. It took me by surprise, so I laughed - then she laughed back!

Josephine Mary at two months

At two months old, our little Josie Bird is settling into our family very nicely. It's taken her a little longer than Teddy, but she falls asleep pretty easily around 11 and sleeps about 7 hours straight most nights now. Too bad I still wake up in the middle of the night expecting her to wake up. 

She still naps most of the day away, too. Sometimes she needs to be swaddled to stay asleep. Other times...not so much.

She's growing every which way. Josie weighs over 13 pounds now and that's thanks to more hair, more eyelashes, and more chins... She's got so many folds and rolls that this week she's developed skin irritations in the creases :(

The hair won't be tamed

I think Teddy was a little better at tummy time at this age, but we're working on it. 

Her legs have been stronger than his since Day 1, though. The Daddy Swaddles that worked for Teddy had to be upgraded for our little Jo Moosepil!
