Touchdown Teddy

NFL Scouting Combine here he comes... is there a 1 year and 10 month grouping? That's only if momma will let him play that is and baby sis Josie cheer leading from the sidelines of course.

Now, Teddy's 40 yard dash involved a little rest in the middle, but that was all strategy to cross that goal line. Gotta start working on his touchdown dance... my feeling it'll definitely involve the "cabbage patch" and "worm" somehow...

A nap with friends

During one of Josie's naps in her little rocking chair, Teddy wanted to make sure she had some company so he arranged her friends all around her.
Thanks big brother!

A daytime snooze

Our little Jo is a very sleepy girl. She has an hour of wakefulness a few times each day, but she must still be catching up on her beauty sleep.
We think it's working since we fall in love with her more every day.

Wee Small Hours - The Josie Remix

Josie is already looking up to her big bro, and is already starring in a remake of one of Teddy's first "music videos". For those that need a refresher, take a look at the original here: "Sleeping, Smiling, and Hamburgers". Josie has a little different sleeping style, but you can't contain her adorableness! Also, check out the gag reel at the end to see how Teddy has been "adapting" to little Josie. Too funny. Enjoy!

Introducing... Josephine Mary Rouspil

Chip's official due date was 2/26, but a couple factors led to an early arrival. At our 37 week sonogram, Chip was measuring pretty large and with a few weeks to go, the doctor was a little worried about the delivery. Plus, I was pretty darn ready to be done with this pregnancy. So we scheduled an induction at the hospital for Thursday night. At 7pm, I took a pill to kick start some contractions and it sure worked. It worked so well I got some pain meds at 2am, but the contractions overrode them and by 4am the epidural was in. At 9:29am after only 20 minutes of pushing, out came our little Chip and much to everyone's surprise, she was a girl! I was shocked. Our little Josie had arrived.
9 lbs 11 oz, 22 inches long and absolutely perfect.

Ready to get started...

Four days early and almost as big as her brother was...

First snuggle with mama

All cleaned up and so tired...

Grandma and Grandpa Rouspil brought Teddy to meet his little sister

Sunday morning, it was time to check out of the hospital. Our first family-of-four portrait.

Posing in front of our picture in the hospital lobby. Almost 2 years later... how time flies.

All loaded up and ready to head home!
