Teddy takes the wheel

The boy is already a road trip pro. I think I'll let him drive the last stretch to Minneapolis.

Eye contact

Since there's not much else he can do while stuck in his car seat most of the day, Teddy seems to be taking the opportunity to practice his eye contact. I think that on Wednesday he "saw" Reggie for the first time. He tried really hard to get Reggie to look back at him, but to no avail. Big brother might still be a little jealous of the new puppy in our lives :)

Reno, baby!

On Tuesday, we made it to Reno after our 2pm departure. Here's Teddy partying in his Boppy at the Motel 6.

And later on he tried sleeping in his tent/travel crib - a total success.

Road trip? Yes, please!

Here's Teddy doing a little crib dancing in anticipation of our road trip to Minnesota.

All strapped in and ready to go. Let's hit the road!

2 months old!

Last week Teddy had his 2 month check up with the pediatrician. No surprise he's doing great. Healthy, happy, and growing like a weed. Turns out he's the weight of a 4 month old and the length of a 6 month old! Here's our little sprout stretching his legs and showing off his height.

Sleeping, Smiling and Hamburgers?

Waking up in the morning is pretty rough sometimes, even for a 2 month old:

Luckily, Mommy is a good person to learn from:

When he does wake up, our little bear begins his day with some smiles (post feeding of course):

Growing up certainly works up an appetite, and although he might think he's ready, Mommy says he has to stick with milk (Daddy will sneak a hamburger in someday):

Tummy Time

Teddy's little neck and arms are getting stronger. He's even rolled over a few times while on his tummy. He'll be 8 weeks old tomorrow - how time flies!

Learning to Smile

Teddy is getting better and better at smiling. Everyday we get more smiles than the day before. Mommy and Daddy can't get enough. It's pretty pathetic what we'll do to try and win a smile from him. Luckily we're not the ones being photographed at those moments.

Sleeping In

Teddy is a pro sleeper when he wants to be. After sleeping 7 hours last night he woke up, ate for 10 minutes and then passed out for another couple hours. Normally I pass out right alongside him in the morning, but today I was rested enough to just sit and stare at his cuteness.
And take pictures, of course.

Birthday Boys

Thursday was Brian and Reggie's birthday. Teddy and I visited Daddy at work for a lunchtime picnic and then picked up a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake on our way home.

Reggie helped blow out the candles.
He really wanted to help eat it, too, but he was outta luck on that one.

It must have been a long day for these boys, because that cake did them in.

Cousins!

Last Sunday we got a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Rouspil and cousins Kylie and Paige.
Hooray for cousins!
